The project

Smart Parking is a mobile application designed to streamline the process of finding, reserving, and paying for short-term parking. The app enables users to easily register, purchase credits, and control garage gates and doors via Bluetooth, offering a seamless and convenient parking experience.

How it works

Upon accessing the main screen, users can effortlessly select a garage pin on the map to reserve their parking spot. The app also provides a search functionality to locate garages near a specific address, or users can simply tap the "Find Nearest" button for an instant selection of the closest garage available.

What was built

Developed using JavaScript and React Native, the app integrates the MapBox SDK for robust mapping features and utilizes Adyen as the payment processor. The user interface is dynamically rendered from a custom library served as an NPM package, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience. Connectivity to garage gates is established via Bluetooth, allowing for secure and reliable access control.

Tracking & reach

User interactions and behavior are meticulously tracked using Amplitude, Firebase Events, and Facebook SDK, while Branch.io is implemented for deep linking functionality. As of the latest update, the app has been downloaded over 100,000 times, reflecting its widespread adoption and user satisfaction.
